Adoptive Breastfeeding is Possible!
Jan Barger, R.N., M.A., IBCLC

Is it possible for me to breastfeed my adopted child? Jan Barger says not only is it possible, but that you should breastfeed your child if you are so inclined. Breastfeeding is a natural way to feed your infant, and human milk is made specifically for human babies. Not only that, but with a little bit of work and dedication, the vast majority of mothers are perfectly able to breastfeed their adopted infants and children.
